Playing Catch Up!

I have been buried in working on getting my new photography site up, and it is still not there, but I just HAD to catch up on sever things.  SO HERE GOES.....

The Barn's First Project: Little Miss A's Room

Well here it is!  Our first project!!! It is still not all the way finished, but enough that I thought I better Post it.

Little Miss A's Room!

I didn't take a before picture, but the room had green walls! We wanted to do molding (because I am obsessed with molding) and I wanted to do a feminine take on neutrals.

Here is my dad helping us with the molding!  He was so awesome to help.  Oh and Mr. E got his hammer out too to help Grandpa.  Thanks Grandma for having your camera there.
Since we were doing white, my dad suggested using MDF to save money.  We caulked it, and  we are really pleased with how it turned out!

Now this room not only had the molding and painting as the project, there were lots of little projects along the way:

THE PUFF QUILT

Don't look to closely!  This was my first quilt, and I learned ALOT.  Blood, sweat and tears went into this blanket, and though it's not anywhere near perfect, I LOVE the colors.

THE MOBILE

I LOVE how this turned out!  Styro foam balls, fake roses, fake moss, a wreath, ribbon, and a hot glue gun can do great things!  Thank you Hobby Lobby!

Now to add a lovely corner cabinet built by our cousin Doug,

A Beautiful Wall saying,

And TADA:

We love it, and probably more because we worked really hard on it!

Little Miss A's Pink Lemonade Party!

Little Miss A turned one, and we already showed her photo shoot, but here is her PINK LEMONADE PARTY!!!
She dressed in pink for the occasion, and was so cute!

 The DECOR:
Burlap Banner!  I LOVED How it turned out.
We hung the pictures from her one year old photo shoot from paper streamers.
My sister Rachel made these candy jars for me for Christmas.  I LOVE them!!

This sign can be found Here.
Nana Brought these pink cookies, and Pink jello!  Thanks Nana!

I made these Strawberry Lemonade cupcakes!  They were AMAZING!  Recipe found Here.

The cute cupcake wrappers are sold by our cousin, and can be found Here.

Our little Birthday Girl!!  She got a little doll house for her Birthday, and LOVES it!

 Time for Cake:

So tired!!!!  She loved the cake, but honestly was so tired, she couldn't even eat it!

But, she did have time to play some quick games with Nana before her Birthday Nap!!!

Love this little one so much!

Mr. E's Birthday

As mentioned before, Mr. E has turned 3 years old, and feeling like the big boy at the barn!  His birthday is right after the new year so we were lucky enough to get to do a little celebration with our out of town extended family that was visiting for the holidays.  Most of them left early the afternoon before his birthday so that morning we did breakfast donuts!!!  Mr. E was thrilled!

Don't those look Yummy!!!  There is a bakery right by the barn that makes homemade donuts that are delicious.  We LOVE the buttermilk bars!

A new friend joined the Barn that morning and is really popular with Mr. E!

Grandpa and Grandma got Mr. E a race car track, and he loves to play with it for hours!!! He especially loves to watch the car make the big jump...

The next day on his real birthday he wanted to go to a restaurant that he has always called Old McDonald's.  The rest of the barn has adopted that name for it as well

Such a sweet face!!!

That night we had another little party with Nana and Papa and our Utah family!

 Thomas the Train!!!  OH BOY!
Mr. E got another present from Mommy and Daddy too....

A Pirate Ship!!! He used it in his pictures!

Happy Birthday Buddy!
